Dragon Battle

I worked briefly with another team on the game Dragon Battle to help out on their battle VFX.I was able to create a few sequences of attack charge ups, striking and damage explosions. Each attack was affinity based so it needed to have certain elements and color ranges to visually convey the character abilities. Each attack sequence was broken up into 3 distinct phases. The charge up, then strike to the final damage explosion. I approached these effects by starting on the highest and most powerful ability so working down from there to create less flamboyant attacks would be easier. Each attack phase consisted of layering and sequencing of multiple particle emitters which sometimes ranged up to 4-6 to achieve the final look.
