Kinetic Rush Challenge
My crack at Kinetic Rush Challenge. I started with a blank animation template of simple run/jump and crafted an animated scene from it. Took about 2 weeks of work mainly in Unreal Engine v5.4, some Houdini for building destruction, and Maya for modeling and animation. Most models were kit-bashed and modified from free assets.
Houdini was used to simulate the building roof footsteps and destruction from the laser beam.
This was exported to Unreal sequencer where niagra particle vfx was added on top.
The challenge provided a template of the run animation (top) which I modified slightly.
The background giant robot was rigged and animated inside of Unreal's using control rig.
